Overview
Katman Pump Selector turns a pump manufacturer's catalog into a selection tool that runs in the browser, with nothing to install. Enter a duty point and the liquid, and it lists the pumps from your catalog that meet it, with their curves, motor, materials and dimensions, and writes a PDF datasheet with your company's name and logo.

Calculated at the Duty Point

Four Steps to a Datasheet

Step 1 · Series Filtering
Isolate and filter series according to the selected operating mode (Centrifugal, Booster or Fire systems).

Step 2 · Search Parameters
Pick the search type, enter flow and head in SI or IP units, choose the liquid or enter its density and viscosity, and narrow the motors by speed, voltage, poles, IP and IE class.

Step 3 · Product Selection
Every pump that meets the duty point is in front of you. For the selected pump, you see its curves in 8+ graph types, the motor, materials, dimensions, drawing and user manual.

Step 4 · PDF Output
Preview the PDF datasheet, adjust the file name and download it, or, with the projects module, add it to a project.

Modules
Katman Pump Selector Modules
Centrifugal pumps and the admin panel come with every installation. Booster sets, fire sets, UL/FM and projects are switched on as you need them.
Centrifugal Pumps
The base module. Search from a duty point within tolerances (Selection), browse every curve and click a point (Catalog), or pick one pump group and set the point afterwards (Manual).

Booster Sets
Pick a set type from your catalog, then 1 to 5 identical pumps and the flow and head per pump. Each pump is calculated on its own, and the PDF opens with a system page for the set.

Fire Pump Sets
1 to 5 main pumps, each with an electric motor or a diesel engine, and an optional jockey pump on the same screen, with the calculations and checks of NFPA 20 and EN 12845.

Collect selections from pump, booster and fire modes in one project, and print an offer from it.

Operating Point
Each pump is shown where it really runs for your duty point, and only the pumps within your flow and head tolerances are listed.
Impeller Trimming
Trimmable pumps get the impeller diameter that meets your duty point.
Multistage Pumps
Every stage count that meets your duty point is listed, with the other stage counts shown on the same chart.
Frequency-Converted Pumps
Frequency-converted pumps get the frequency that meets your duty point, with their minimum and maximum frequency curves drawn.
Viscosity and Density
Choose water or enter any liquid's density and viscosity, and the performance and power are corrected for it, to ANSI/HI 9.6.7.
Motor Sizing
The right motor is chosen for each pump automatically. Pick another one and the app shows where it would be overloaded and warns you.
8+ Graph Types
Head, efficiency, power and NPSHr curves with the operating point and best efficiency point marked, including efficiency maps and the operating ranges of all results.
Refine the Point
Change the flow and head, or click the chart, and the selected pump's results, charts and PDF update.
PDF Datasheet
An A4 datasheet under your brand, with the duty point, performance, liquid, materials, pump and motor data, graph, drawing, dimensions and wiring diagram. Your own summary PDF can go in front if you like.
