Katman Fan Selector

Fan selection software built on your own test data, from the duty point to sound levels and a printable report.

Katman Fan Selector

Overview

Katman Fan Selector turns a fan manufacturer's catalog into a selection tool that runs in the browser. Enter a duty point and it finds the fans in your catalog that meet it, with their performance, sound levels, motor and dimensions, and prints a report for the one you choose. It is built for fan manufacturers with their own series and for the engineers who select fans from them.

Why Choose Katman Fan Selector?

It runs in the browser, so your customers and your sales team install nothing.

Your Own Test Curves

Every result comes from each model's own test data, and each fan is shown where it really runs for your duty point.

Your Catalog in One Excel File

Series, models, motors, test curves, sound data and options are uploaded as one workbook. A new series or model needs no code change.

Any Language, SI and IP Units

The interface is in English and Turkish, and any language can be added. Works in SI and IP units.

Three Steps to a Report

  1. Step 1 · Selection

Pick a fan type and one or more of its series. Enter air flow, pressure and air density with optional tolerances, or list a whole series in Catalog mode. Fan and motor filters narrow the models.

  2. Step 2 · Results

The matching fans appear in a sortable table with air flow, pressure, efficiency, power, speed, SFP and sound. Select one to see its charts, sound levels, dimensions, motor and series details.

  3. Step 3 · Report

Name the project, choose the sections to include, and print the report or save it as PDF.

API and ERP support

Every manufacturer and engineering business operates within a unique digital ecosystem. We work closely with your technical teams to open the calculation engine through a custom API that can receive project data, run selections, and return the results in the exact way you want to use.

With the same collaborative approach, we can coordinate direct ERP integration around your existing business workflows, keeping pricing rules, inventory tracking, bills of materials, and quote outputs aligned with the engineering calculations your team depends on.

What's Inside

Every part works on the catalog you upload.

Fan Selection

Finds the fans that meet a duty point, or lists a whole series with its curves.

  • Selection mode for a duty point
  • Catalog mode for a whole series, without a duty point
  • Minus and plus tolerances on air flow and pressure
  • Fan filters by drive, impeller diameter, blowing position and blades
  • Motor filters by frequency, speed, IP and IE class, voltage and poles

Fan Details

Everything your catalog holds about the selected fan, beside its charts.

  • Type, series, diameter, blades, materials, temperatures and drive
  • Technical drawing with its dimensions
  • Series options such as casing, blade, shaft and sealing
  • The series manual, opened in the page

Motor Data

Each fan comes with the data of its motor from your catalog.

  • Voltage, phase, frequency, power, current and speed
  • IE and IP class, insulation, weight and connection
  • Wiring diagram in the report

Sound

Sound levels at the inlet and outlet, from your catalog's octave-band data.

  • LwA and LpA in 8 octave bands, with totals
  • Distance and reflecting surfaces, updated as you change them
  • Catalog data as LwA, Lw, LpA or Lp

Report

A printable report for the selected fan.

  • Nine sections, each switched on or off
  • Logo, fan model and project name on every page
  • Charts sharp enough for print
  • Print or save as PDF

Catalog Management

Update the catalog yourself, with no code changes.

  • Catalog upload from one Excel workbook, checked for data integrity automatically, so nothing can be broken by accident
  • Live progress while it uploads
  • File manager for series pictures, drawings, wiring diagrams and manuals

What It Does

Everything between the duty point and the report.

Operating Point

Each fan is shown at the point where it really runs on your system, and only the fans within your air flow and pressure tolerances are listed.

Power, Speed and SFP

Power, speed and specific fan power are given at the operating point of every fan.

Sound Levels

Sound power and sound pressure levels per octave band and in total, for your distance and the surfaces around the fan.

Linked Charts

Pressure, efficiency and power charts are read together at the same air flow, with the system curve, the requested point and the operating point marked.

Catalog Mode

Without a duty point, see every model of a series with its full curves.

Printable Report

A report under your brand with the performance, sound, motor, dimensions and drawing of the selected fan, with only the sections you need.
